Minestra di pane della trebbiatura

This recipe typical from Tuscany, in particular from the Val d'Orcia and Crete Senesi areas, was commonly prepared during the threshing time. Usually threshing started in July, after the corn was put into shocks in the farmyard. These days represented a big feast, as it was the first harvest of the year. The padrona di casa prepared dinner for all the people that were working from dawn. She just used what nature had to offer and now we are going to prepare this typical soup using Orogel Minestrone, that presents all the vegetables that you can find in a farmyard.

Ricetta che veniva fatta in occasione della trebbiatura del grano in Val d’Orcia e nelle crete senesi. La trebbiatura avveniva generalmente nei mesi di luglio dopo aver radunato tutto il grano nei classici covoni nell’aia della fattoria,dove incominciava la battitura,ed era la grande festa poiché si aveva il primo raccolto dell’anno. La padrona di casa fra l’altro preparava per tutti ed erano tanti il desinare che andava a chiudere una giornata iniziata all’alba. I prodotti non potevano che essere quelli che l’orto dava in quel momento  ora noi invece  andremo a preparare la tipica”minestra di pane della trebbiatura” con il minestrone dell’Orogel  che racchiude tutte le verdure che si possono trovare nell’orto.)Ricetta che veniva fatta in occasione della trebbiatura del grano in Val d'Orcia e nelle crete senesi.
